Happy New Year!

A little fishing off of a dock down the street from my parent's home.

Whew, I made it....

A nine hour drive brought us back home to the farmette today.  A few days with my parents were in order, with good company, fun times, and warm weather.  Now, here I am in my cozy farmhouse with a forecast of six degrees tonight.

Good times!

I know many of you are in the same boat, so stay warm and safe as we begin a new year.

"Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let every new year find you a better man."

Benjamin Franklin

  7. Good ole Ben - great advice.
It's my experience with the RG that weather never slows the anglers down.

  8. Love the quote Michelle. My new neighbors are leaving their Boston Terriers out too much in this cold and I wonder what old Ben would would have advised to do about that. I'd like to strangle them, but I don't want to start trouble. Hope the new year will be good to us all.

  11. I forgot to mention that I love this photo; it is a gorgeous shot with all the right elements. And I thank you for the Ben Franklin quote. I heard him rolling over and moaning in his grave last night...something about this country's prezident and its state of affairs or affairs of state... :)

  13. Yes, it seems to be cold all over. At least we got to see some sunshine in the morning before it clouded up and snowed again.

  15. 9 hours is a long drive, but it's so good that you can get to see them by driving instead of having to fly. My daughter and granddaughters live 2,357 miles away, and if I drove and stopped for the night it would take 5 days. Have a great 2018!! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
