Back To It

Today was a day for chores, laundry, more chores, more laundry, and getting the household ready for a short work week.  A high of 20 degrees is better than most people have it, but still quite chilly for us.  My parents have a high today of 43 degrees.  That sounds positively tropical.

With a low tonight of 5 degrees I can say I am thankful for a wood stove and a down comforter.

Sharing a couple of photos that make me feel warm, even though it isn't.

  2. My wife teaches special ed and had to go back to work today with kids back tomorrow. It was a short vacation as they got off the Friday before Christmas. I will be glad to stop having to wear heavy coats
when trying to work outside, I end up getting hot even though it is so cold.

  3. It appears we'll be in the mid-20s for 2 or 3 nights this week but back to normal by the following week. Thank goodness! I do not like the cold. It's been a long time since I've experienced 5 degrees or lower. But when a kid I lived for seven years in Duluth, Minnesota. It was 36 below there last night! That does not count the wind chill. Stay warm, enjoy your phone - occasionally! :)

  4. I hope you keep good and warm. It's freezing cold here too with East winds sounding like a freight train going by. We finished putting Christmas away today.. yay! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  5. Pretty sky is these photos. A wood burner does add a certain something to the comfort of a home in winter. School is back in session here but with two hour delays due to frigid temps.

Yes, the 40's sound almost like summer. This morning here was minus 4.

  10. We have a high of 5 degrees today... In the last few days, we had a high of -15, so this is good! Stay warm regardless to what you're used to!

  12. I began the new year with a 16 item "to do" list. Knocking some of them off, but some are proving harder to get done than I expected. But, let's both keep at it.
