Slow Sunday, Big Thaw

Well, here we are after a week long snow day in Kentucky.  Today we have thawed and spent some time outside.  It is welcome at this point in the year.  February is typically our snowiest time of the year, so what is to come remains to be seen.

Thus, today involved getting the dogs outside, the people outside, and vehicles washed.  Salt is no good for them.  Food and lunches are prepped for the week, and we are set for a full week of school with no snow in the forecast.

A big deal in my neck of the woods.

Today I am sharing a view of my own barn for, The Barn Collective.

Pay Tom a visit, won't you?

  2. ...snow affect people and places differently. I remember when my daughter lived in South Carolina, two inches and life stopped in it's tracks. I must say the that red barn looks might fine with your 'dusting of snow.' Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your week.

  11. A nice property and a nice barn! I was thinking after you let the dogs out in the snow, you had to clean 'em and dry 'em before letting them back in the house, right?

  12. Beautiful barn on a lovely snowy hillside! Glad you don't have any more snow in the forecast for this week though. We still are "snow-less" though our daughter called yesterday to say it was snowing in Bend (50 minutes from us).

  15. Glad to read that your weather is improving, Michelle. It's the same here in Nashua, NH, where the recent snowfall is just about all gone thanks to warmer temps and a day of rain with more (rain) in the forecast. The red barn looks wonderful in the snow-covered field.

  21. We had some snow in Mobile, Al this year. Snow and ice bringing school closings. First time in the eighteen years I have lived here. Born and raised in Watervliet, Mi. So I am familiar with much snow, but I left there in '99. Wonderful pictures of snow and the barn.
