Thankful Thursday

Thankful this Thursday for warmth.  Even though it is cold outside, my small community comes together to provide warmth for everyone.  From coats/hats/gloves at school to heating assistance through our small town offices, everyone has the chance to make it through these cold temperatures.

What are you thankful for this Thursday?  It need not be much.  The smallest thing will do.  When you start to collect those small things, the larger things come into focus.  Link it up and shout it out!

  4. I don't think we provide warm clothing except in our commercial establishments. But this would be a good time to proffer such assistance to the poor and needy as it is colder than the proverbial well-diggers behind. And everything is covered with frost. Brrrrrr!

  8. That's a beautiful picture. I love frosty landscapes with glittery grass. I'm also thankful for the winter wonderland that we're having here, though my shared link isn't about winter but my enormous gratitude for discovering and experiencing the joy that comes from birding. I hope an older post is acceptable. I just want to shout out my thrilling experiences.
Thanks for another week of hosting.

  19. I love to hear when a community finds ways to help the residents. It's a dangerous storm and there are so many at risk. It was below freezing all the way down here in Florida! I'm thankful it's in the 50s and sunny now though! Happy Thursday!

  20. I am thankful for many things, but mostly people -- those who have been in my life and are no longer, family and friends who are present now and especially for being able to enjoy life every day. It's nice to read that your community is a caring and giving one, Michelle. Stay warm.

  22. I hope you are not getting the terrible snow storm that is traveling along the east coast, Michelle, or the sub zero temperatures. I am thankful that our winter has been mild so far, but I do hope we get more snow soon, as it has been very dry. I'm also thankful for a new year. Wishing you a happy and healthy 2018!

  23. nice community...our power company is getting a lot of complaints because of threatening to turn off people's electric if their bills are overdue...plus people have complained of them overcharging by 1-200 dollars a month right now...been in the news...there have been complaints about our power company ripping us off since we've lived here :(
