Friday Randoms

Today school was cancelled due to low attendance across our district.  The Flu is taking hold of everyone.

Views cannot get much better than from the cockpit of an airplane.

Just in case you haven't witnessed a baby octopus being born, you can see it right here.

More chickens will be coming to The Farmette this spring.  I wonder if one of them will be as special as Big Mama.

I heard this classic at a local BBQ joint today.  Passing it along for the weekend.
Enjoy!

  10. There is so much flu in Kentucky. I was lucky that my bout was pretty mild. I think having had the flu shot and getting right on tamiflu helped. Hope you stay healthy. xo Laura

  12. I love the story of Big Mama! That is a lot of flu if the school had to be closed. I've been lucky so far!

  14. Hello, I have heard about many flu cases with my friends and family. It must be bad to close the school. The photos from the plane are awesome, I would love to see the Northern Lights. I hope you and your family stay well. Have a happy day and weekend.

  15. I'm happy that you're getting some new chicks! I highly recommend the Ameracauna which lays blue eggs, they are one of our best layers. The flu scares me! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  16. The flu is bad. That's a lot of students and teachers getting the flu. I don't think I've ever heard of a school closing because of it but it makes sense.
The Big Mama story was fantastic.

  17. Oh my gosh I hope everyone feels better soon, the flu spreads so fast! I'm not sure if I agree about the view from the cockpit Michelle, it is fabulous but I prefer to look at the photos and let someone else take them 😀😀

  20. Octopus birth . . . amazing . . .
Baby chicks are sweeter than a Big Mamma . . .
But . . . it would be fun to have one of those “biggy varieties!” . .
Not in the house though . . .
Hope the “flu bug” doesn’t land near you!
