Field Trip

Friday had me off work and out of the house early to pick up a load of heifers.  As we headed east, the view was all farmland, cows, and blue skies.

Chilly with clear skies made for a beautiful way to start off the month of March.

We went through some small, back roads and were not disappointed with the scenery.

We headed up a gravel road to our destination.  Our recent rains, that have been very heavy, made for muddy roads and green, green grass.

Our little herd was a bit suspect of our arrival.

Some farm talk happened before the girls were loaded on the trailer.

They were pretty quiet for the long ride home.

Out of the trailer and roaming the pasture made them happy.

Us too.....

  18. Nice road trip pictures!

I'm thinking the fellow in that third picture is pretty smart letting gravity do the work of rolling out the hay like that. Looks like he's maybe done that a few times on that same hillside.
