Thankful Thursday

Thankful this Thursday for my small town school.  As a teacher it is a wonderful place to work.  I have the support of my fellow teachers and wonderful students to work with, along with a great supervisory staff.  Each year we have a spring and a fall festival.  They include games, food, auction items, and the crowning of a prince and princess of the festival.  The money raised funds field trips, special school visitors, computers, and all types of wonderful things for our students.

Our spring festival, just a week ago, raised $37,000.  I cannot tell you what an exceptional community I live and work in, that cares for our youth so much.

We may be small, but we are mighty.

What are you thankful for today?  Let us all know!!

    1. Lowell, not quite a Hallmark movie. All of the students receive a free breakfast and lunch. We only have about 5,000 people in my small town and plenty of poverty and issues to solve. But! We come together to help our youth and that is so important.

  13. That is a LOT of money. A small town nearby recently raised money for a teacher who's place burned down and I believe they had much success as well. I'm thankful all is relatively calm and we have the best season right on top of us.

  16. That is so cool. I have always wondered what it would be like to teach at a normal school. I work with great people and my administration is wonderful but we can't have things like festivals and such. I guess that is what I get for teaching in Juvy in the big city.

Thanks for hosting and I hope that you and your family have a wonderful Easter.
