Wet, Wet, Sunday

Not only has this Sunday been wet, but the whole weekend has been floating away.....

Saturday had us with heavy rains.  Heavy, heavy rains with cold temperatures that made good weather for staying indoors.  Saturday night had a hot water heater failing and spraying half an inch of water in the laundry room.

Good times.....

All is well as Sunday brought dry weather and a new hot water heater.  After floating under all of that water the laundry room floor has never been cleaner.  There is a silver lining in every cloud.

Linking up this barn with The Barn Collective.

That Longhorn from our neighbor is just a bonus.....

  1. That is one magnificent Longhorn! Sorry about the water heater, but then again, a new one will be good for many more years. Have a super week! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  3. ...cold and dry is the order of the day here. We needed a new water heater when we returned from our vacation, just keep the money flowing. Thanks for stopping by Michelle, enjoy your week.

  4. I can identify with your hot water heater problem. Last week I noticed that a hot water heater had rust at the base with some wetness, so I had it replaced before it failed and gushed all over the place. Your tale makes me glad I did.

  5. I wonder why stuff like the water heater giving up always seems to happen on gray and wet days. Oh well, you got it all over with at once.

  6. I do admire your ability to see good in bad and persevere through the tough times. I think I would have put the whole property up for sale by the time the water header went bust!

  10. We haven't had that much rain but the ground is still saturated and its been gray and drizzly for a long time. I'm tired of it and ready for sunshine and warmer temps. Love the longhorn.
