A Welcome Sight

Glad to see Iris blooming all around Smalltownland.

"In the Spring a livelier iris changes on the burnish'd dove; In the Spring a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love"

  1. Gorgeous photo and a perfect quote. Are you a teacher of literature? I like the phrase, "smalltownland," too! :)

  3. Our iris started blooming early this year, about a week ago but they are by a wall where it is warm. I like to look at all the different color variations as I ride around this time of year.

  12. I'm glad Spring has sprung in your area, it was a long cold winter waiting for it, wasn't it? ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  13. So pretty. Our daughter’s favorite flower....hoping some will still be in bloom when we leave Florida next month! We see a few wild iris here, but none of the garden variety.
