Mother's Day Sunday

It's been a wonderful Mother's Day Sunday here at the Farmette.  An afternoon at home, grilling and hanging out with the family is just what the doctor ordered after a busy week.

We seemed to have skipped over spring and the hot temps of summer are in full swing.  More Iris are in bloom with more to come.

Our Norwegian Maples, planted last year, continue to thrive and are full of color.

A Begonia, along with a few other flowers, wait to be planted.

A Lilac Bush, planted last year, has a few blooms and smells heavenly.

It's been a restful start to the week.  A phone call with my mom made the day complete.  Wishing everyone a great week ahead.

Linking up with The Barn Collective today.

  10. It was a laid back Mother's Day for me as well and like you, spring has temporarily stepped aside for a bit of summer. I am not yet ready (am I ever?) for 90 degree temps! Lovely blooms!

  21. You are of course further along than it is here. We've had temps in the mid twenties C here today, and nights are still a bit cool.
