Thankful Thursday

Thankful this Thursday for former students.  Yesterday our 2nd grade group paid a visit to the intermediate school they will be attending next year.  It was great to see so many former students and even better that they wanted to say hi, share a hug, or have a chat.  To me they look so grown up after a year or two and I am blessed that they remember me.

What are you thankful for today?  Give it a shout out and let us all know!

  5. What a sweet post. Yes, it is fun to visit with former students. In my case I taught college age. It was fun to meet them later after they had gotten jobs and were developing their careers.

  8. There is little doubt that you, as a teacher, gave those kids many reasons to remember you. I have a feeling your love for teacher and for kids comes through loud and clear. Kudos to you for what you do!

  9. I am thankful for all the sunny days we are now enjoying. Seeing your former students must make you feel really good when you are talking to them and having hugs. My aunt used to teach Latin to kids when she was a grade school teacher. They loved her and she them and that's a nice reward for being a teacher.
    Enjoy the weekend!!!
