The Sunday Rundown

With nine days of school left, it is busy times around the Farmette.

Softball games everyday make for long days and late nights.

However, spring has finally sprung and the school field trips are plentiful.  The train ride and model trains were a hit for the adults as well as the teachers, this week.

Picnics at old homesteads were on order as well.

Teacher appreciation is this week and that means breakfast and lunch being provided this week.  More field trips and ball games on the horizon.  Throw in Field Day, end of year assessments, and bouncy house day.....this chick will need some extra sleep.

Linking up with The Barn Collective today.

  3. Are you ready for the break? I always felt the girls' teachers were ready at the end of the year, but glad when it was time to start again.

  5. You only have 9 more days? We just heard from our daughter who teaches in south Florida and she has, 20 days, I believe. And she was excited about that. What will you do with all your time when school shuts down? :)

  8. I don't know how you do it. After a two week walkout by the teachers, our kiddos will go until June.

  9. I'm studying the fist barn and wondering if it started out as an ark? The walls of the first floor appear intentionally sloped and lots of straight lines in each photo---nice.

  14. Even though it's a hectic time with the end of the school term quickly coming, Michelle, it seems you will be having many good times and meals coming up. I wondered where the model display was at since it reminded me of one in the Lancaster, PA area called the Choo Choo Barn. We've been there a couple of times with the grandchildren.

  16. I looked for the diamond on your farm. There is one in Iowa called Field of dreams. We always had one growing up.
