Thankful Thursday

Thankful this Thursday for kind words.  I ran into Mrs. E this week and she mentioned how she appreciated reading my blog posts.  How she had a recipe to share with me and how were things going in life.  It's these kind of moments that keep me going in life.  When I am run down, tired, and mentally blank,  people like Mrs. E keep me going.  Kind words mean everything, whether you are speaking them or receiving them.

What are you thankful for today?  Whatever it is, I hope you will take a moment, share it, and link up with all of us.

    1. Tom, we are about to finish up our replacement windows. We had a group of Amish men do the work for us, as many of our "old farmhouse" windows were custom work. I feel your pain in my brain and in my wallet.

  4. Thank you Michelle. It is good to be reminded of the power of kindness — in word as well as deed. Your words — as well as your pictures — always add cheer to my day.

  5. I agree...kind words lift your spirit. I hiked this morning and the bicyclist I met were friendly and nice. They usually just speed past me but today they said Good Morning! Enjoy your day!

  6. Thank heavens for people like Mrs. E, cuz there aren't nearly enough of them. What was the recipe? You reminded me to take another look at the Ski Cake recipe which has been the back of my brain. I've been meaning to try. I'm thankful the midterm elections turned out as well as they did, especially in Wisconsin.

  7. You are fortunate to have a neighbor who gives you encouragement, Michelle! I am grateful to live in a beautiful state that is always full of surprises for me to discover. I am also thankful the elections are over and I don't have to hear discouraging ads on TV and radio any longer...sigh.
