Cold, Cold Sunday

It was a wee bit of snow here in central Kentucky.  But, underneath it all, there was a layer of ice.  Heavy rains all day on Saturday, combined with a plunge in temperatures, left us with a strange mix of weather.

I walked around the Farmette this morning.  Many churches had cancelled their services and it was a quiet morning.

A strange walk for me as their isn't a dog to walk alongside.....our Jack Russell is still with us, but she is old and it was too cold.

All was well and very quiet.  The air was cold and crisp.  It you squint your eyes you can see a barn off in the distance.  Just a whisper in the woods.

  2. I think your snow is pretty... we are likely not going to get one flake this winter and that is very disappointing. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  5. Those are the bees right...I guess they survive the cold. It looks so quiet but low and behold there is the barn. Happy Sunday to you.

  6. Great pics, Michelle. I still miss walking with a dog and it has been several years now without one.

  8. So cold...but so peaceful and calm looking! Probably wouldn’t need to do my meditation or yoga after a walk like that!

  11. We also had snow and ice over the weekend, and now are in the midst of frigid temps for several days. I haven't ventured outdoors yet, but enjoyed seeing the photos from your quiet walks, Michelle.

  14. Up here in PA, we got most of the same thing, except the ice. Cold & windy. Not much of a cold weather person. Makes the bones creek a bit!
