Thankful Thursday

Thankful this Thursday for winter.  I know, I know, it's cold and unpleasant at times, but it provides me with a period of slowing down that I don't get at any other time of the year.  Cold, quiet walks and peaceful early evenings make this season precious to me.

What are you thankful for this Thursday.  Take a moment and let us all know.

  1. Hello, you are a hard worker and I am sure you deserve your quiet peaceful times. Since retiring, I am thankful I do not have to go work on snowy days. Happy Thursday, have a happy day!

  3. Your winter days sound wonderful Michelle. We got so excited yesterday and today because we had rain.. in the middle of summer, I was thankful for that ✨

  4. I certainly can understand the appeal of winter and slowing down, hibernating even. I only wish we would get some snow around here. It has been threatening but not delivering.

  8. I so enjoy making the first human prints into an area, but also identifying critters who beat me. The cold is a cleansing time for nature, but somedays with a strong wind goes right through me.

  9. I could gladly skip winter and all of the work it needs - shoveling, etc!

  10. Although I'm not a super-fan of winter, you are right how it affords you time to hibernate and hit a restart to the busier time of year. You're so lucky to get snow.. not one flake here this winter. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  11. Here for the last 2 weeks it has been the opposite, but then we don't have much snow (yet), only in the mountains, higher where we live. Which means not much blogging time, so most of my images this post are from my archives. Enjoy having some more time!

  12. I like the longer evenings to turn all the lamps on and cozy up the house! Even though it's not cold here, the evenings are special. Hugs!

  15. Your words could have been written by our daughter who enjoys winter for those same reasons ... and who can’t imagine trading it for our Snowbird season. (I do only wish that we could both enjoy the kind of season we love while being closer to each other!).
