Appalachian Word of the Day

Swanny ~ adj.  - to swear or declare to be true

Example:  I swanny nothin' seems to be goin' right.

Not only is the girl of the house sick, but on my way to work I ran over part of a skunk.  It was the bad part.

I melted a chapstick in the dryer.

I  ran out of ketchup, at a crucial moment.

The keys to the Jeep seem to be missing......

I think that's enough for the moment.

"Don't take yourself too seriously.  Know when to laugh at yourself, and find a way to laugh at obstacles that inevitably present themselves."

I have done that with crayons and once when my son was very small...he had taken a butter pat from a restaurant and put it in his pocket , which unfortunately I didn't check before washing...ugh, what a mess.
