Shots from the Week

Although our weather was cold last week, we did break out of the house to go climbing this past weekend.  The girl of the house is pictured here, working hard.

Sounds strange, but a lemon pumpkin scented candle is the best thing ever.

I bought some tulips to fend off the winter blahs.  When you have a 5 month old kitten running around the house you get left with a bunch of stems and one blossom.

It's a good thing we love her so much.

"I love this life. I feel like I am always catching my breath and saying, 'Oh! Will you look at that?' Photography has been my way of bearing witness to the joy I find in seeing the extraordinary in ordinary life. You don't look for pictures. Your pictures are looking for you."

  1. I love tulips! I always had the same trouble with any flowers in the house when we had a cat. :)

  2. ...that's quite a climbing wall. The local Y has a smaller one and my 8 year old granddaughter loves it.

  3. She is way up there!! Guess it is safer climbing inside than up rock cliffs!
    Great quote by Feinstein.

  4. those shots do just jump out sometimes at me.I don't go far without my camera. Sometimes returning to an area you remember what you had seen and from what angle. Kittens do the cutest things, I may have to go look for some tulips.

  7. Hello, The climbing wall does look like fun. I little too high for me. The candle scent sounds nice, sorry the tulips did not survive the kitty. Enjoy your day and the rest of the week!

  8. Have you seen the movie Free Solo yet? Seeing your daughter climbing reminds me of it. If she enjoys climbing, I bet she'd enjoy it! Your sweet kitten looks so innocent, all tired out and napping. :)

  9. I love that quote! I would have loved the climbing wall when younger. Kitties are like that sometimes. For years, I could not leave a puzzle out, but the last one I left out and they did fine with. They are nearly 11 yrs old, so hopefully they are finally past bothering them.

  11. Bravo to your daughter for being adventurous! Our son's dog has done quite a bit of destruction since they brought her here.. but we're doing better since we crate her when we leave the house unattended.. but cats don't work that way. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
