Happenings on a Tuesday

Whew....it's a busy week here on The Farmette.

Spring is in full swing.  We had a cold snap this Monday and most were calling it a Redbud Winter.  A series of five "winters" usually occur in spring.  Early April is prime time for a Redbud Winter.

Dogwood Winter is next....we shall see.  As for here, the apple trees are in full bloom.

My canine friend is enjoying this weather.  My Jack Russell is the last of a group of five dogs that lived out their lives here on our farm....and grew up with our children.  She is fourteen and still, mostly, on the go.

"I am going to try to pay attention to the spring. I am going to look around at all the flowers, and look up at the hectic trees. I am going to close my eyes and listen."

  1. What beautiful blossoms. Thanks for sharing a picture of your dog on the move. That's what keeps her healthy, I'm sure.

  15. Oh, I didn’t know about “Spring Winters”, so there’s my one new thing to learn before breakfast today! Your Redbud tree is so pretty, hope the cold didn’t damage it. ... I read everything Anne LaMott wrote years ago, but didn’t remember those words, which are simply perfect .
