The Beach, the Parents, and a Dog

It's been a great week off.....of everything.  One thing about visiting my parents, who happen to live on the gulf coast, is that it is a vacay along with family time.  A little dining out, great conversations, some shopping, fine beach views, and coffee time at my parent's house.

Good. Times.

I brought home an unexpected visitor today.  My daughter and I, stopped at a pet adoption festival and decided this little guy needed to come live in Kentucky.

A one year old Beagle mix, he hopped out of the Suburban this afternoon like he owned The Farmette.  A few zooms around the, "yard", sniffs around the barn, a meeting with the cows and he was at home.

He is currently sleeping here in the office at the typing of this post.

He is quite. the. man.

  2. Awesomeness!! He's adorable, and what a lucky dog. My grandmother lived on Panama City Beach for 10 years, we LOVED visiting her there, the beaches so sugar-sand perfect, the waters so blue. The gulf coast is definitely beautiful. What a great way to spend a week!

  4. Barb and I loved the Gulf side...far less commercialized, small towns for fishing and crabbing etc....:)

  7. You are so lucky your parents live in that beautiful spot. We used to live in Lafayette, LA and would drive hours and hours to camp on the beach at Panama City in our brand new red VW Bus "Campmobile". Such wonderful memories. Good for you to adopt that little guy, he sure did land in a field of clover with your family as his new pack. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  14. He is adorable, I once had a hound dog cross, named him Bandit. I would strongly recommend you stay away from that name. How great also to have time with your parents. Even after all these years, I miss that.
