Super Hot Sunday

Well, as evidenced by the title, today was super hot.  So hot, in fact, that I spent as little time outdoors as possible.  All animals and plants have been watered, but with high heat and no rain in sight, the pastures are getting crunchy.

The girl of the house moved into her dorm room yesterday.  All went well and then she realized we forgot several things.  Dad to the rescue this morning with a delivery.

Drove out to the boondocks to deliver apples to a food plot for the deer, this fall.  Rode in the Jeep and thought I might melt, never mind the rough road and feeling like my brain was jiggling around in my skull.

A little relaxation tonight and back on the work treadmill in the morning.  Make you week a great one, won't you?

Linking up with The Barn Collective today.

  1. The grass is crunchy here also, and the dirt is shrinking away from the foundation again. The heat is just brutal. Have a great week.

  5. The heat is exhausting for sure. Glad you are close enough to the girl you can run the forgotten things over to her.

  7. We appear to be at that point in the summer where the heat is winding down. We might still get some hot days, but the worst of it is behind us.

  9. I remember helping my daughter move into her dorm room.. we decorated it and helped make it comfy. You must be close to be able to take her what she forgot, which will make it easy for her to visit home. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
