Scenes from the Slow Lane
It's a beautiful time of year. Summer is coming to an end, but not before it wears us out some high heat. Some more neighbors enjoying a bit of refreshment.
A neighboring beauty who just might need a fly mask.
Tobacco wagons are a familiar sight at this time of year.
A bit of Goldenrod at the fence.
Many things are drying up, including what was once a Coneflower. We have plenty of pears to harvest, but the hornets were on the fallen ones this afternoon.
Yep.....no pictures of that.

The horse is quite a sight to see.
ReplyDelete...I don't like tobacco, but I like the tobacco wagon shot.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photographs … so calming.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I love this time of year too. Enjoy what remains of the week.
ReplyDeleteI like your neighbours Michelle 😉 The end of summer can be both a relief and a sorrow when the cold weather sets in ✨
ReplyDeleteToo bad the weather isn't matching the time of year yet. Maybe tomorrow we'll get a break.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenery and the horse is absolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOOoo, be careful of the hornets !!
ReplyDeleteWe just picked the last of our paltry season of pears.
Still tasty though.
Love life in the slow lane...
