This and That

It's quiet times here at The Farmette.  Nothing much is happening and I am not complaining.  The kids do their own thing and the parents do their own thing.  I am liking it.

A home builder/repair person just left after inspecting the back porch of this old house.  Some old decking needs to be replaced as does some concrete.  However, a few things need to be, "looked at", before that can take place.  That involves another person.  Always something with an old house.

If a phrase, or a word, is spelled the same way backwards it is known as a palindrome.  While I am familiar with this term, I always think of it for words.  Well, today starts a ten day streak for calendar palindromes.

As a teacher a full moon has meaning.....as in behavior issues.  I know other professions experience changes in people as well.  This Friday is a full moon and the 13th.  What.a.combo......

It's a weird week.....

  2. Now that could be a concern...the 13th/AND full moon?!! There is something always wrong with new houses too. Always something.

  4. I am always a bit on edge on Friday the 13th.. let's hope no awful things happen. It sounds like you're adjusting well to the changes with your nearly grown up kids. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  5. when I was nursing and there was a full moon, some patients would go doolally! I am just about to go to Australia for 6 weeks but have all my post scheduled in (bit of a marathon that was!) Unfortunately I will not be commenting while I am away but as often as I can will look at bloggers posts.

  7. Yikes. I didn't realize the full moon and Friday 13th were the same day this week. Thanks for the warning. The crazies will be out. I've finally concurred not being able to sleep during full moons. Thank goodness I sleep better and enjoy the beauty of the full moon more often these days. Good luck on Friday!

  8. You're not wrong Michelle, as lovely as older houses are, it's a pain when things start calling apart at the same time, still wouldn't change it though.. except maybe for an Art Deco designed house 😉 I would stay indoors with a cuppa on that full mooned Friday 😱
