Hodgepodge Sunday

Well, it's a good one here at The Farmette.  Sunny skies and nice temps have had the dogs soaking up some rays outside today.  The weatherman tells me it will end tomorrow, so we are trying to enjoy it.

A bit of green grass does remain, but the leaves are blowing in the wind each afternoon.  I've decided we need many more sugar maples on the property.

This yesterday was opening day for rifle season, for deer, here in KY.  This rag tag looking bunch of guys all happen to be working professionals who have been getting together for many a year.  My son is now one of the adults in this photo and I can't even believe it.

Linking up with The Barn Collective today.

Heading off to dig out the long johns......

  3. I must admit that I miss the turning of the seasons. Here in south Florida we merge rather imperceptibly from the wet to the dry season. Not sure where we are right now!

  4. It was nice here this afternoon. Supposed to get bitter cold on Tuesday.

  5. Hello, pretty captures of the barn and field. We only have bow hunting in the forest near us, rifle hunting I guess could be on private land and farms. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!

  6. We will also be getting some wintry weather this week, Michelle, but we also have enjoyed the past few days of sunshine and seasonal temperatures. That said, I have already switched the coat closet to heavier jackets and taken out the scarves and gloves.
